Go Accounting’s leadership have decades of experience working as accountants in Nelson, servicing the brands and businesses that help hold our community together and drive the region forwards economically.
Our business has deep roots here, drawing from four iconic brands, over 9 years. We began in 2017, with Malloch McClean Tasman (MMCA). Crux was set-up in 2018 and the two businesses later merged, rebranding as Go Accounting in 2023. And our latest, and most exciting development yet, is to become part of the numio group of chartered accountants, from 2026.

From Squarekicker to Nelson Alarms, Nelson Vets to Home by Orange, Moana NZ SUP to McCraes Blinds, we’ve helped hundreds of businesses in the Richmond and Nelson areas, and across the South Island, to analyse their numbers, uncover deep truths, and then create bespoke plans to move forwards and maximise business value.
We’re deeply connected to our local community here on the shores of beautiful Tasman Bay, helping run multiple free business workshops and training seminars over the years to encourage businesses to think differently about their future, get paid faster, and unlock hidden potential.
Our team also gives time to the community outside of work. Nathan Silcock is the chairperson of the Motuere Hills Residents Association and Kiyosato Motueka Friendship Committee, and Louise Staite is the treasurer and board member of Natureland. We sponsor various community and sporting organisations, and enjoy taking part in local fundraising events. We’re also proud members of the Nelson Chamber of Commerce.
When the local floods hit Nelson and beyond in 2025, we were there, advising businesses on how best to plan for, and achieve full recovery, advising on tax relief, and providing insider knowledge on farming and primary sector support, or directing businesses towards access to much-needed relief funds.
